Wrap-Up
The purpose of this module was to provide mentors with strategies and research that supports effective mentor/mentee relationships that influences the growth of novice teachers as well as to increase the level of understanding of mentor teachers. The four essential foundational skills addressed through this module were the importance of building trusting relationships with novice teachers, building effective communication and collaboration skills with novice teacher, building awareness of diverse learners culturally responsive needs, and building ownership through student data analysis. Each foundational skill was supported by research, engaging assessment activities, and reflections for consideration.
